We Need Saudi Arabia to Stabilize the World Economy, US Ambassador

Former US Central Command chief and US ambassador to Saudi Arabia John Abizaid has said the United States needs Saudi Arabia to stabilize the world’s most important region.

According to media reports, addressing the Council on American-Arab Relations, John Abe Zaid said, “Those who think that the United States has plenty of oil and does not need Saudi oil do not understand the facts.”

“We need Saudi Arabian oil to stabilize the world’s oil market, and we need Saudi Arabia to stabilize the world economy,” he said.

“Saudi Arabia is moving towards the future, we should join Saudi Arabia,” he said. Saudi Arabia is moving forward to achieve Vision 2030, which is in our own interest.
